It was bright and clear during our visit to Yosemite National Park. Sunset on El Capitan and midday sun on Half Dome made for spectacular sight seeing. Kate enjoyed her first visit to this park. Yosemite is located a few hours east of where Robert’s brother lives in Turlock, CA. The day starts with miles of flat valley lands full of orchards. Then gentle hills appear followed by steep grades upwards to the town of Mariposa (butterfly in Spanish), a good place for breakfast. Then on along the Merced River that flows out of the park.
