In the photo we are enjoying the food offerings of the Minnesota State Fair in Minneapolis, MN (where, as they say, you can get “Anything on a Stick”.
After a week of errands in Seattle [staying with our close friends Randy and Janice Blair] we struck out for Minnesota to visit Robert’s family scattered through the state and into North and South Dakota. Great time with cousin Karen Dalke [and husband Ken] in Marion, SD including a visit to the Turner County Fair. Later visiting cousins Lou Sandland, Nancy Eklund, and Jeff Boatright in Grand Forks, ND. Then on to the family farm in Grygla, MN seeing cousin Tim Sandland who lives there and staying with cousin Keith Sandland [wife Rosie] in Roseau, MN and seeing cousin Arlen Sandland [and wife Dianne and son Peter] in Roseau. All these dear folks are on Robert’s mother’s side.
Back in the Twin Cities we visited the Carpenter Cousins. We stayed with cousin Cherie Reichow [husband Bruce] and saw other cousins JoAnne Anderson [and husband Dave], Lowell Carpenter [wife Jo], Pat Giroux and Susan Egan. We had good times visiting Uncle Fran Carpenter and Aunt Doris.
We also had the pleasure of attending the wedding of LT Matt Schultz and Teresa Dunleavy.
