Amsterdam is a city of water, but you knew that. Still experiencing it for the first time was quite exciting. From the port along a waterway half rings of canals radiate south creating an expanse of communities and waterways. We took a short canal tour and walked its streets.
An excellent city transportation system of busses and trams move people easily. This is the standard in Europe. Below are some photos of the streets and canals. We also visited the Van Gogh museum and the Rijks Museum. Outstanding collections of great works of art.
