Two Days in Paradise, Paradise Inn at Mt. Rainier

The Inn at Paradise, Mt. Rainier National Park, is an historic log structure with hand made log tables, chairs, grandfather clock and even a piano.  Staying there has been a dream for a long time but the setting is the spectacular part.  Pictured above is a meadow full of wildflowers at the foot of “The Mountain” as we in the NW call Mt. Rainier.

The park features many views of streams, waterfalls, wild flowers of every kind and trails to hike.   A magical place!

The lodge featured open log roof trusses and large lamp shades [photo below] that appear to be hand painted.  I would like to know the story behind them.
