February 20, 2013
At age 93 Rob’s mother, Thelma, continues to live at home next door to his brother in Turlock, CA. After leaving our home on February 4 2012, we arrived on the 5th to stay with her until we fly out on the 21st. [See Warm Springs Blog]
Robert’s brother attends to her needs and see that she is up in the morning and asleep at night. Mom has difficulty with her memory and her strength is on the decline. If all were perfect she would be content to move into assisted living but she is a tough and stubborn Norwegian so there is no way she would move. We trust God to care for her needs during the hours alone and know that in His mercy she will be calm and enjoy her Great Grandchildren who live not far away. The newest GGC, age 3 months, lives in San Diego and Mom will see him for the first time on Friday, the day after we leave town.
Thankful for years of love from Rob’s Mom and Dad.
