The best way to get out of the Washington rain is to go where the sun shines in February. Thanks to good friends from our former church in Seattle, Bethany Community Church, we were able to join five other couples at a beautiful resort in Puerto Vallarta. This is not quaint Old Mexico. The fact is the beach areas are well developed with resorts employing locals who speak English quite well. So aside from a little chit chat it was all in English ... but the sunshine was all Mexico and a welcome relief from our winter.
We enjoyed each others’ company at meals,
walking to the nearby town, boat ride on the river,
beach walking, long bus ride to the botanical
gardens and even parasailing!
