Every town of any size celebrates a fair each year. The most well known “Feria” is the Fair in Sevilla every April but even smaller towns and cities do it up in a their own style. The nearby town of Algeciras is no exception and we took in the sights on Sunday.
There was a Saturday parade which we missed. On Sunday the first full day of the fair nearly everyone was out in their best Spanish outfits to celebrate. In the above photo a fine looking couple are sporting their fair attire. Men will wear black slacks, boots and a straight rimed hat. Women wear their hair with a flower, a comb or both plus massive earrings and fancy dresses with bright colors.
