Christmas Carols In Gibraltar

December 24, 2009

A few days ago we decided to go to Gibraltar for a concert by a choir from England so this afternoon we headed out, took the two buses necessary to get there, actually three since once across the border we had to catch a Gibraltar city bus.   We finally arrived to learn that yesterday’s big storm had resulted in canceled flights and the choir did not make it here.   So instead they held a candle light service with scripture readings and carol singing.   It was actually very good, just the ticket for us after being cooped up due to the recent stormy weather.   The location of the concert was the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity [Church of England].  A little bit formal and so alittle bit different - wonderful!

We have taken a few photos of our city which are pasted below.
